"Chinese Character Inventory" is an annual event began in 2006 by the Chinese National Language Resource Monitoring and Research Center, Network Media Language sub-centers, the Commercial Press Sina.com. This is a branding campaign launched by the jointly organizing committee, aimed to keep the beautiful Chinese language to new changes of China and the world, left in the year for eye-catching tags.

>>>New regulation: Chinese PinYin names should be translated as the same order as the Chinese pronounce them, which means the Surname in the front, the Given-name after it.
This unity is to avoid the confusion of the Chinese names. Some Chinese adapt their PinYin name to Werstern habit, some use the Chinese habit, this has brought confusion.
